About this book
Colette Faizal isn't superstitious, so she doesn't worry when a fortune-teller advises Colette's mother to "watch for the unexpected." But when her father announces he is going back to Iran, her mother is hurt in a car accident and Colette is sent to live with the grandparents she's never even met, everything the mysterious woman predicted seems to be coming true. As Colette struggles to bring her family back together, she tries to hold on to the last thing the fortune-teller told her: "You will know how to handle what lies ahead."

    Beautiful, Sturdy, Sophisticated, but Loud!

Samovar is one of those devices that are considered luxury in today's standards, but they were a most not too long ago especially in Middle Eastern and Russian cultures. My wife and I both have sweet memories of our grandmothers making tea out of these oddly shape appliances, and when we needed a new kettle, we considered going all the way up to the one and only samovar! Living in US, your choice is kind of limited, and certainly there are not enough reviews and feedbacks available on different models and brands. What we observed was that samovars start at about $100, and they go all the way up to about $3,000, and the price depends on the size and materials they are made of. The more expensive models usually have larger sizes, like 15 liters, or they have expensive gold plated outer surface. We chose BEEM and this specific Rebecca model, because it was 5 liters, a little more than a gallon, and it was made of steel and looked really nice in the pictures. When we received the product,... 3/5 Simon (MN, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: BEEM Rebecca III, Stainless Steel Samovar, 5 Liters, Silver (Kitchen) Samovar is one of those devices that are considered luxury in today's standards, but they were a most not too long ago especially in Middle Eastern and Russian cultures. Hot!

5/5 ptrck85 - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 3 Liter Stainless Steel Electric Samovar Ordered back in September and it gets used on the weekends regularly. (Can't wait for winter!)Thus far I've had no issues with anything: water heats up as it should and stays warm until I turn the unit off. Spout does not leak more than a drop after dispensing water so I find it beneficial to keep some sort of drip plate under it to keep the counter tops clean.Teapot is sturdy and seems to be restaurant quality/styling so I expect that it will last a while. While you can find similar samovars on auction sites I felt more confident with this purchase due to the samovar is modern and suitable for a US home or any that use 110 volt plugs/appliances. Others typically had a 220v plug which would have required more money to rewire or purchase a converter.Heats 3L quickly (less than 10 minutes I'd say or right at it.) and is a great conversation piece. No problem recommending this. Cheaply made. Plastic handles, knobs and nozzle. Rust.

When the samovar arrived, there was an initial smile as it looks really nice coming out of the box, however from then on, I went from 5 stars to 2 stars within 4 days. The item is simply not as described. The handles are made of plastic. Yes plastic. They look like stainless steel in the pictures, and there is no description that states this, which means that you won't know this until it is shipped to. The top lid knobs are also made of plastic. The nozzle is also made of plastic. As far as bringing water to a boil, it does it, but very slowly. It takes 13 minutes for the samovar to come to a boil, and for a 3-liter samovar, it is below average. THE WORST part is that rust has settled onto the top rim of the Samovar within 5 days. Water spots are to be expected, but the fact that there is rust building was not expected.PROS:1. Initial unpacking2. The teapot is functional3. PriceCONS:1. Rust in less than a week2. 1/5 Amazon Customer - See all my reviews This review is from: 3 Liter Stainless Steel Electric Samovar Very cheap. It stopped working after 3-4 months. Rust appeared after a month.
